The Payee Report collects as little as it needs to send you a weekly email.

What we collect

• Your email address, so we can send you the newsletter.
• If you choose to answer it, what best describes you (for example, contractor or nonprofit).
• Where you found us, if the link you used included that information.
• Anonymous counts of page visits and clicks, from Vercel Web Analytics and our own counter. Neither uses cookies, and IP addresses aren’t stored.

How it’s used

Only to send The Payee Report and decide what to cover. Your email is never sold or shared. Emails are sent through Resend, which stores your address on our behalf. To count signups by source, we keep a one-way scrambled version of your address, not the address itself.

Unsubscribing

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe, you won’t receive any more emails.

About the data in the newsletter

The newsletter reports payments from Erie County’s public check register. Payments to individuals are never named.
